New Buckenham Silver has been playing since 1887 and therefore it is reasonable to assume that we have a huge amount of music to chose from - and indeed we do!  In fact we had sooo much old, fragile paper that the more archaic pieces are now held at The Northern College of Music.  Some of the most enduring and endearing melodies can be found in 'Tunes and Toasts' or 'The Black Books'.  These have been used almost continuously since the band began and they are full of marches, fanfares and hummable ditties which the British Empire would be familiar with.  Like every band, New Buckenham moves with the times and the popular tunes of the day.  We are practising 'You've Got  A Friend In Me' which our young listeners will recognise as the theme tune from 'Toy Story' and 'Pirates Of The Carribean' is also on the deck at the moment.  So here below is a smallish list of what we have available for you to enjoy :
